The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation has created an exciting opportunity for 4-H alumni. The first-ever Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Ambassador Team will be selected later this year. Ambassadors, who will be recent 4-H alumni, will assist the Foundation at events, will represent the Foundation at 4-H activities and with key stakeholders, will assist with social media; and will create donor recognition opportunities.
The Ambassador application process will begin June 1.
The Foundation is currently seeking an adult Ambassador Program Specialist. The Specialist is a volunteer position. However, the Specialist will receive a yearly stipend and will have travel costs paid.
“The Ambassador program is an exciting way for our recent 4-H alumni to continue their 4-H experience,” says Brenda Scheider, Executive Director of the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation. “This team of young adults will be working throughout the state as our representatives to 4-H activities, to our donors and to the public. We need a strong team leader and are looking to find that unique individual who has a passion for helping young adults reach their potential.”
The Ambassador Specialist will:
- Manage the Ambassador selection process.
- Assist the Ambassador team in determining individual roles and responsibilities.
- Work with the Ambassador team to set goals and plan meetings and activities.
- Provide Ambassador training and coordinate meeting arrangements
- Coordinate Ambassador participation in 4-H events.
- Recruit additional adults to assist with the Ambassador program.
Minimum Qualifications are:
- Seven or more years working with youth in an educational setting
- Five or more years experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to create educational programming and organize meetings/events
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, program development and task facilitation
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
