Have you ever heard someone say “you don’t have to reinvent the wheel” well, we need to remember this statement as we walk through our health and beauty isle at the store. That said, all of these brands did not REINVENT THE WHEEL for each one of these products. A LOT of these products are the same ingredients with different packaging and tiered pricing. I am Meg Ann Lee and we are discussing undesirable or forgotten products that JUST WORK when it comes to our health and beauty.
Coconut oil or castor oil
I’ve completely switched up my lotion game and by that, I mean… I don’t even use lotion anymore I use oil. Straight out the shower, when your skin is still wet, put your oil on and I SWEAR your skin will be so soft. You can skip the fancy packaging and fragrances, just get the basic one.
70% Alcohol Spray
This is a product I must have in my makeup kit for work BUT it also is something I keep around at home because it is a great disinfectant and cleaner for my beauty items and mirror.
Witch hazel
Witch hazel is a versatile item to have on hand. It’s a natural astringent which is great for killing bacteria on your skin. It’s also anti-inflammatory. A lot of people use this as a deodorant alternative because it doesn’t leave residue on the skin. Plus, it gets rid of odor fast!
Tongue scraper
This is something so many people forget about or don’t even know about. It enhances your taste, improves your dental health, reduces oral bacteria.
GET YOURSELF ONE
Baking soda and cornstarch
You can combine these two ingredients into a tightly sealed container and waa-la! If you have red or brown hair, you can even add a color to your mixture with cinnamon or cocoa powder.
Compression socks
So simple and so many people overlook this item! If you want to boost circulation in your legs, decrease swelling in ankles and improve lymphatic drainage, these socks are for you!
If you are looking for dupes for your high end beauty favorites check out DUPESHOPBEAUTY.
They compare reviews and ingredients just for you.
