Ten Wisconsin FFA chapters have been awarded $500 grants through Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom.
The FFA Food for America Agricultural Literacy Grant program will provide financial support to FFA chapters with plans for executing agriculture literacy activities as part of Wisconsin FFA’s Food for America program.
In 2023-24 school year, Wisconsin FFA chapters reported activities reaching over 133,665 Wisconsin K-12 students and community members.
“The Food for America program provides learning opportunities for students of all ages,” says Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Coordinator Beth Schaefer. “FFA members develop activities and teach their fellow students, learning core skills in communication and project management. Participants enjoy learning from a peer, which is an incredibly powerful educational experience.”
