State FFA Convention Recruiting Interns

The Wisconsin Association of FFA is recruiting interns to help share the celebration of FFA members leading up to and during the 2024 Wisconsin State FFA Convention. The convention is June 10-13 in Madison.

The goal of the internships is to provide collegiate students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience covering a convention. It will also give a media presence for all audiences. Interns are essential to engaging members and stakeholders to continue providing the next generation of agriculturists.

Ther are two intern positions this year. Ideal candidates should have completed at least one year of collegiate coursework. They must have a focus in the areas of agriculture, communications, journalism, or related fields. FFA experience is preferred. Position descriptions are below.

Public Relations Team Internship Positions

News Media Intern: This position works with the public relations team and convention managers on newspaper, television, and radio content.

Social Media Intern: This position works with the public relations team and convention managers on social media and online content.

Wisconsin Association of FFA will provide lodging and meals throughout the event. It will provide a stipend upon the successful completion of the internship. Intern’s responsibilities begin upon hiring and conclude the week after the convention. Should the intern desire to receive internship credit for this experience, Wisconsin FFA will work with their respective universities to ensure credit requirements are met. The expense of the internship credit will be the responsibility of the intern.

Applicants will get a notification of their status by April 15. Interviews are April 16-18. Final offers go out by April 19.
