The Mid-West Farm Report has added Kiley Allan of Le Mars, Iowa to its team of reporters.
Allan grew up on a small farrow-to-finish and cow/calf operation in Northwest Iowa. There, she fell in love with agriculture and the small town atmosphere.
The recent graduate of Iowa State University is quick to note it’s her agricultural roots that have instilled qualities of hard work and dedication in her daily life. “The opportunity to experience livestock production on an everyday basis built the foundation of my passions, goals and work ethic,” Allan reflects. Growing up in rural America, she participated in many after-school activities such as 4-H, FFA and numerous musical and theatrical opportunities.
As a loyal consumer of whole milk and a native to the Ice Cream Capital of the World, Allan is excited to learn about everything America’s Dairyland has to offer. She’s right at home with the Mid-West Farm Report Team!
“Good livestock, good people and also telling the story of American agriculturalists make me tick,” Allan states. Her favorite free time activities are relatable to many Midwesterners. She enjoys spending time on the lake, grilling home-grown pork and beef, watching her favorite football teams as well as hanging out with friends and family.
Allan joins Stephanie Hoff, Charitee Seebecker, Ben Jarboe and the Fabulous Farm Babe, Pam Jahnke, in bringing farm and food news to Wisconsinites.
